This policy explains how Nolan Boxill, a sole proprietor operating as Boxill Apps, handles information in connection with GazeBreak for iOS. Your app content is stored on your device, and no app account is required.

App Data Stored on Your Device

Timer intervals, break schedules, completed breaks, daily statistics, and preferences are stored locally using on-device storage to operate GazeBreak. We do not receive this app content on operator servers. Core features are fully offline-capable. No registration is required, and the app itself does not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying account information. Any names or labels you choose to enter remain part of your local app content.

Purchasing, restoring, and verifying Pro subscriptions involves separate online processing by Apple and RevenueCat. Device backups that you independently enable through Apple may contain local app data and are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy policy.

Support Communications

If you email support@boxillapps.com, we receive your email address, message content, and any attachments or information you voluntarily provide. We use this information only to respond to your support request and resolve the issue. Please avoid sending information that is unnecessary for support.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat processes a randomly assigned app user ID, purchase history, and subscription status solely to verify purchases, restore access, and manage Pro entitlements. This identifier does not require an app account or your name or email address, but can distinguish an installation or subscriber and may qualify as personal data under applicable law.

RevenueCat’s handling of subscription information is described at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple’s handling of purchases and account information is described at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. These services may require an internet connection even though the app’s core utility features work offline.

Aggregated Analytics

We may receive anonymous, aggregated usage and performance reports through Apple App Store Connect. These reports are not used to personally identify you. We use aggregated reports only to understand app performance and improve reliability. We do not use your local app content for advertising or cross-app tracking.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate and maintain GazeBreak features on your device, process and verify Pro purchases through Apple and RevenueCat, respond to support requests, and improve app performance using aggregated analytics. We do not sell personal information or use subscription or support information for independent advertising.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Apple processes App Store purchases, and RevenueCat processes subscription information to manage Pro entitlements under their respective privacy policies. We do not share your local app content with either provider for subscription processing. We do not share app information with other third-party analytics, advertising, or data partners. Information may be disclosed where legally required, and only to the extent required by applicable law.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local GazeBreak data persists until you remove it within the app where supported, clear the app’s data, or delete the app from your device. Deleting the app removes its local app storage; offloading an app can preserve its data. Copies in device backups may remain until you separately remove those backups through Apple’s controls.

Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve the issue and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies and any applicable legal requirements. Deleting the app does not delete provider purchase records or cancel a subscription; manage subscriptions separately through Apple. Contact us to request deletion of personal information we hold.

Permissions and Your Choices

If the app requests notification access, you can allow or revoke it in iOS Settings. Where photo access is needed for a feature, access is governed by the permissions you grant through iOS and the photos you choose. You can use core offline features without contacting support. You control your local entries and device backup settings.

Children’s Privacy

GazeBreak is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. Local app storage benefits from iOS application sandboxing and your device’s security controls. Protect your device with a passcode and current software. We do not transmit local app content to operator servers; support messages you send and subscription processing are separate from local storage. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, including Canadian and Alberta privacy laws, EU or EEA data-protection laws, and California privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also complain to the relevant privacy authority. We respect these rights where applicable and do not discriminate against users for exercising them. Send requests to support@boxillapps.com; we may need proportionate information to verify the request.

We cannot remotely access or edit data stored only on your device; you control that data through the app and iOS. For information held independently by Apple, use Apple’s privacy controls. Contact us for assistance with subscription data processed on our behalf by RevenueCat. Where processors handle information outside your jurisdiction, their policies describe processing locations and applicable safeguards.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and change its last-updated date. Continued use of GazeBreak after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent for material changes where required; continued use does not replace legally required consent for new processing purposes.
